Are you looking for a way to expand on your already amazing career within technology sales? Do you love talking “shop” with a wide variety of corporate and government entities regarding the latest and greatest laptops, desktops, and servers? We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sr. Account Manager to join our team. 

As the Sr. Account Manager you will work with our large business customers to provide them with the best possible computing solution for their environment and develop an understanding of their buying potential and hardware refresh process. Along with building an understanding of your customer’s current and upcoming requirements, you’ll partner with our own Sales, Support, Marketing, and Engineering Teams to convey these needs to ensure that System76 and your customers are in sync to achieve the best overall customer experience.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Consultative Sales – Understand your customers and provide hardware/software solutions that fit their specific needs and requirements via phone, email, and video conferencing.
  • Joint Sales – Work with a variety of different teams within System76 and authorized resellers to ensure that your customers receive the best possible sales experience. 
  • Account Ownership – Ensure that you create and maintain a comprehensive understanding of your customers. 
  • New Business – Hunting for new business opportunities through farming of existing customers, email and other contact efforts. Develop and manage new customers and potential new sales channels to increase your pipeline and the reach of System76 hardware and Pop!_OS.
  • Repeat  Business – Create the best customer experience in the universe from first contact through product shipment and follow-up. Coordinate with other teams to answer technical questions pre-sales and coordinate support when necessary post-sale. Make sure System76 customers are delighted with their purchase and the subsequent support they receive. Performs complex hardware design consultation in accordance with customer/project needs.
  • Sales Cycle – Use pipeline management software to track and own the sales cycle including prospecting and qualification of customers, funnel and prospect management, sales forecasting, quote generation, and closing of deals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills and experience:  

  • Strong sales background including  7+ years of technology sales with a focus on computer hardware
  • Highest standards of ethics and morals
  • Excellent, demonstrable written and verbal communication
  • Influencing skills with a proven track record
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed set objectives
  • Past and proven sales farming experience
  • You must be able to demonstrate your ability to identify, qualify and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research.
  • You get a lot of satisfaction from the process of taking a large company from a prospect to a happy and growing customer
  • Ability to travel when safe/necessary for in person client meetings and conferences
  • Strong familiarity with laptop, desktop, and server components
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
