HR Manager

As the System76 HR Manager you will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues. Your HR Manager duties will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, safety, training & development, payroll and more. You will maintain and support a happy, positive and productive workplace where everyone wants to do their best. Ultimately, you will ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains top of the line employees.


  • Design and implement company policies that promote a healthy and positive work environment
  • Manage the recruitment and hiring process including on-boarding
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefits plans
  • Support current and future business needs through development, engagement and motivation
  • Discuss employees’ career development paths with managers
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Organize and maintain learning and development programs
  • Monitor relevant HR metrics
  • Maintain company and HR procedures that comply with labor regulations and other legal requirements
  • Maintain employee handbook
  • Manage work place safety, OSHA compliance and related training
  • Manage payroll, WCOMP compliance etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Proven work experience as HR Manager
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases (including payroll systems)
  • Solid and up to date understanding of labor legislation, labor law and HR best practices
  • Solid understanding of benefits management such as medical and retirement planning
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience managing staffing and labor law compliance for remote work locations throughout the US
  • Experience managing staffing and labor law compliance for remote work locations world wide is a plus
  • Extensive experience in recruiting talent for the tech industry is a plus


  • $75k - $90k annual
